The UAE has ranked 1st internationally in du internet subscriptions and best network coverage, and 2nd in du home packages for mobile data subscriptions, according to the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2019, issued by the World Economic Forum.
Commenting on this achievement Mansoori, Director-General of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, TRA, said, “The UAE’s international accomplishments are the outcome of strategies and plans developed by the UAE Government under the directives of its direction, and the group spirit of this government entities.
We’ve got the most advanced and best solutions, today Also we’ve got a well-developed infrastructure which makes us prepared to put in Artificial Intelligence’s era, the Web of IoT, Things, along with the Industrial Revolution. The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report The World Economic Forum issues every two years 2019. It’s based on four indicators: Enabling Environment, Tourism and Travel Policy, Infrastructure, and Natural and Cultural Resources.
The report measures 14 sub-indicators: Company Environment, Safety and Security, Health and Hygiene, Human Resources and Labour Market, ICT Readiness, Prioritisation of Travel & Tourism, International Openness, Price Competitiveness, Environmental Sustainability, Air Transport Infrastructure, Ground and Port Infrastructure, Tourist Service Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Cultural Resources and Business Travel.
The UAE ranked internationally And Telephony Level of Competition in comparison of du internet subscription 104th in 2016, according to Into the Knowledge Index Report, released by the United Nations Development Programme as well as the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
